ABOUT BADE EROL

At just the age of 16, Bade Erol moved to England to study at the International School of Creative Arts. She began exploring fine arts and textile design. Then went on to pursue a BA in Product Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. This was followed by a certificate program in Lighting Design at NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano. After an online course at the Phillips Lighting University, she began her footsteps in her career first in Enza Home, Turkey then in Italy.

As a young girl who aspired to become an artist, Bade Erol was driven by her intrinsic interest in discovering materials. She began to put different techniques and thoughts together into forms. Adding storytelling to products was one of the main factors that led her to take this journey. The interaction of transparent tools with light was fascinating. Her greatest desire was to create a new language in which to communicate with people. During this period, she came to grasp the fine line between Art and product design to develop an artistic approach. She created products of different shapes and sizes with their own story to tell in a unique language. Later, this language started to be shaped by 3-dimensional objects. According to her, personal objects are forms that we have decorated with stories that talk about who we are. Each one of them has a story. By adopting this approach, she began object and lighting design during her years at university
